A real mother's day celebration

8am- got to sleep in while hubby is making me breakfast
8:30am- served a beautiful breakfast on our "new" patio furniture
8:31am- enjoy reading my mothers day cards and looking at a beautiful flower bouquet
8:35am- break up a fight between the little cousins
8:37- have a devotional
8:38- tell the boys not to hit eachother
8:45- just relax in the beautiful weather
8:47- tell the boys to put their pants back on
9:00- nurse Jocelyn while hubby does the dishes

Even though there are constant "interruptions" at this point in motherhood, I want to remember that years from now I will long for a little one to come pull at my leg to get me to watch him do a somersault. And I will wish for a little one to hold in my lap all day long.
Lord, give me patience for their constant questions, and request. Let me see opportunities to teach, to train, and to love. Show me their unique personalities, strengths, and weaknesses. Give me endurance to mother them for the long haul, not just what is easiest now. Help me love them the way You do.
Thank you for making me a Mother. It is all I had dreamed and more.
Amen

Awwwww....Happy Belated Mother's Day friend. It sounds wonderful. I love your deck. You cut your hair! It's adorable. I'm counting the days until we can sit together and laugh until our stomachs hurt. Miss you!
