Jocelyn's newest sign of independence is that she likes to buckle herself in EVERY time she gets in her carseat.

Other than sliding off the side of the horse because of the blanket, Tay loved the horse and still wants to be a cowboy.

Jocelyn was more timid but she made her mama very happy when she too wanted to ride the horse and actually wanted a second ride. Atta girl, Jocey!

It was hot, hot, hot for Independence day but we had a great time with friend (thanks Gallo family), great food, and great fireworks to end a day of celebration of our freedom.

Blinn takes after her parents and thinks that summer is hot and terrible and unbearable. We know this because every time we start putting her in her car seat she starts complaining, "hot. hot. hot" (it's MAYBE warm. not hot.)But she hasn't tried the buckle yet. Although mysteriously everytime I go to put her in her highchair the buckle is buckled. So she must be doing that when I'm not looking!
