I know, I know, a little late. But it was when we got home from this trip to North Dakota that we found my computer dead on the counter, never to be revived.

On the fourth we headed to a small town, Stanley, North Dakota to enjoy their Independence Day festivities.

One of the highlights for me was having relatives there to celebrate with. This is my sister, Nelda, being hugged by our cousin Bob. Bob and Bernice Jorgenson have always seemed like a second mom and dad to me and their son, Jason, was one of my best friends. Their daughter, Val, and I have become really close since I started a family since she knows alot about it. Her husband Terry and her have six kids! This family is who I grew up celebrating the Fourth with so this really felt like being home. I loved every minute.

My brother, Stanton, was there and entered the parade with his Harley. He is a crazy guy and I hope to be like him when I grow up!

Taylor was amazed that you got candy thrown at you during the parade.

This lady was a stranger to us but Taylor wanted to share his candy with her anyway.

I loved playing with my kiddos on the playgrounds that I grew up on.

It is so great to share memories and experiences with my family from my childhood. This Independence Day was so good. Oh, and God bless America!

Great to see Taylor and Jocelyn growing up so happy, strong and well-cared for.
Looking forward to seeing them in Des Moines to I can practice up on being a Grandpa!
